The Blackwell & Co. Story
We are four generations of farmers from Essex who opened a butcher’s shop 34 years ago. We then expanded to launch a wholesale business, with the vision of becoming a premier supplier to chefs. After finding success in London, we set out to create our own line of sausages, bacon, gammon, ham, and salami, with the goal of offering this exceptional produce worldwide.
The idea behind Blackwell & Co. Delicatessen is to make our high-quality, innovative product range available directly to customers on the high street. Quality and animal welfare remain our top priority as well as pushing the boundaries of taste and variety.

Dingley Dell
Pork
Our partnership with Dingley Dell Pork enables Blackwell & Co. to supply our customers with the very best quality high welfare pork. Our 30 to 60 day dry-ageing process creates a superb flavour which is difficult to match and tastes delicious.


Our Beef
Range
Our Beef is sustainably raised and slow-grown, to create outstanding taste. Our Beef Farmers include Harry Chamley, whose short horn cattle are high welfare, with the most incredible flavour profile.

charcuterieAt Blackwell & Co. we don’t just make charcuterie – we craft something truly special. Since 2019, our artisan range of air-dried and fermented meats has been built on generations of farming expertise, combining time-honoured Mediterranean techniques with the finest British pork. From delicately marbled salamis to rich, dry-aged prosciutto, each bite tells a story of quality, heritage, and passion.

to the highest welfare standards.Each year, in partnership with Dingley Dell Pork, we feed 1 million bumblebees, helping to plant hundreds of thousands of grass and wildflower seeds, supporting and enhancing wildlife diversity across the farm.
Our Deli in Long Melford, Suffolk
At Blackwell & Co. we were proud to open our first Delicatessen & Bakery in the old Ruse & Son Butchers shop in the charming Suffolk town of Long Melford.
With 70% of our products made in-house, we offer our customers an innovative and artisan product range from a traditional style shop.
Meet Martin
our FounderIn May 1995 Blackwell & Co. was founded by third generation local farmer Martin Blackwell. Since then the business has grown substantially and now supplies some of the best restaurants in the capital and across the country. Passionate about using traditional techniques to innovate new and delicious products, Martin is delighted to open the Blackwell & Co. Delicatessen & Bakery in Long Melford.
